Every year Pantone announces their Color of the Year. This year Pantone has chosen Greenery. A color that reflects the need to live a more sustainable lifestyle. Pantone reports this color to be, “A refreshing and revitalizing shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings.” I could not agree more, with the recent results of the presidential election, and the stage that our planet is in, I feel it is time for a new outlook on sustainability.
While many argue that this color is, “straight up ugly,” I found this to be an exciting chance to become more daring with my fashion choices this year. Truthfully, I always thought green was a color that looked great on everyone.
The color code for Greenery is PANTONE 15-0343, with the description, “Bringing forth a refreshing take, Greenery is a tangy yellow-green that speaks to our need to explore, experiment and reinvent. Illustrative of flourishing foliage, the fertile attributes of Greenery signals one to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.”
